Vivitar 2800

I won my flash on ebay. I was only outbid once. They didn't stand a chance.

I am buying my HOLGA tomorrow + film.

I am in the process of preparing many potential designs and if any of them get picked up, I will be seriously stoked.

I need to make a website because this is sub par.

designs to come !

crab apple tree haus

as I'd suspected, I completely ignored this space since last November when I completed thirty paintings in thirty days for a (massive) group show in pioneer square.

I'm here, again. I do hope to stay. I am buying a new camera tomorrow. it's a HOLGA & I am currently *also* bidding on a flash attachment to accompany it. ebay is not always kind and I still have 19 hrs 41 min 20 sec remaining until the end of the bidding war. I am currently the "highest bidder," but I just know that someone will swoop in, while I am away from my computer, and out bid me on my Vivitar 2800.

I spent many hours drawing today with the words crab apple tree haus going through my head. I ended up with an apple made into a tree house. I'm not sure what happened to the crab.

So, the day has finally, er, nearly arrived. The Forgotten Works Challenge opens tomorrow at 5:00pm and I was able to attend the "sneak preview" this evening at the Tashiro Kaplan Building gallery space. There's so many pieces it's on the verge of over stimulation but it's hung and ready and looks great. The space is ample which will be good when there are too many bodies packed into it and my only regret? I didn't sign the front of my paintings. There are NO name tags or labels that discern one person's piece from another which is kind of a bummer, but alas, the show must go on and go on it will. I'll quit bitching about things I have no control over. It's a waste of energy and terribly unbecoming.
cheers & enjoy the show!

i was officially inspired on thursday evening when i attended an A-M-A-Z-I-N-G show that just opened in seattle. Jared Rue knows how to oil paint, 'nuf said. here are a few more paintings from the "big 30" - i can't display them all quite yet. it might ruin the show...
